This DVR functions even better than I expected. It was extremely simple (6 screws) to install the 750G HD that I bought for use with it. Firmware updates are simple via a download from the Q-See website and a USB flash drive. Configuration for remote viewing via Internet connected PC and iPhone use was straight forward and only took a few minutes. Q-See also provides you with a free DDNS service which eliminates the need for a static IP address to utilize the remote viewing/administration features of this unit.
